Nadiya Mahmood 
 

Sitara Nadiya Mahmood is an international yoga teacher, retreat leader, and sound healing practitioner with over a decade of experience and 2,600+ teaching hours across the Washington, D.C. area and internationally.

Originally discovering yoga while attending George Mason University, Nadiya’s practice evolved into a lifelong path of movement, mindfulness, healing, and self-discovery. In 2016, she completed her 200-hour CYT training in Costa Rica through the Marianne Wells Yoga School.

Her teaching blends Vinyasa, Hatha, and Ashtanga-inspired movement with breathwork, meditation, philosophy, and sound healing to create grounded, elevated wellness experiences. With a focus on intentional movement, alignment and nervous system restoration, Nadiya’s classes are designed to help students reconnect, reset, and move through life with greater balance and presence.

She has taught in more than 7 countries, led 5 retreats, and continues to create experiences that bring together wellness, travel, community, and spiritual connection.

In addition to yoga, Nadiya offers immersive sound healing experiences using crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, various other instruments, and guided meditation to support deep rest and inner alignment.

Currently, she teaches at Epic Yoga and offers private sessions, retreats, events, and curated wellness experiences throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia.
