A small, quiet, and beautiful country. The whole country is smaller than my city, Washington, DC. The charm is quite different though.
I saw people from all over the world in Singapore and also meet people from Singapore who have been there for many generations. Everyone was really friendly in Singapore yet the tone and energy was very calm, peaceful, and a little bland, yet unique. I truly enjoyed myself though and one day there for me was plenty of time spent there even though I’m sure several days would likely have been better.
I landed at 1am from Bali and went directly to the clerb, and indeed, we all fam in the clerb. I met a new friend from DC who plays soccer for China, I met a model from London, and his best friend from LA, they were all under 23 and thought I was too, how cute and sweet! I did tell them I was closer to their parents age, which may be true…. The club had a Ferris wheel in it and a slide, definitely the most elaborate club I’ve ever been in & I’ve been in many throughout the world, it tops the ones in Paris, Nigeria, Bali, Japan, Vegas, and Miami, which I previously thought had the best clubs. I highly recommend the night life there.
The next day I went on a tour of Mosques, I had planned to go to Brunei originally after Bali, it didn’t happen, & seeing Mosques on this trip was extremely important to me and my journey. I saw two, the grand Mosque or the Sultan Mosque & the Masjid Malabar. Both were beautiful however, the sisters and brothers I met inside left a real impact on my soul & reminded me of the true meaning of Islam, peace & love. It was beautiful.
I then did some shopping in the Arab areas in Haji lane & Arab street and met an amazing older man from Dubai, originally from Bangladesh and an incredible crystal healer from Singapore, it was a beautiful day.
Later I changed & went sightseeing. Again conversed with more local elders, then met a Palestinian family from the West Bank due to me wearing my keffiyeh & I now have a new family in Australia because of that meeting.
